Hungarian Golden Visa program officially launched

The time has come: the Hungarian Golden Visa Program has officially launched. Starting from 1 July 2024, you can apply for your guest investor visa, which is the first step to obtaining 10+10 years of Hungarian residency. We are here to assist you every step of the way.

Important date: 1 July 2024

According to the new immigration law effective from 1 January 2024, the Hungarian Golden Visa Program is now live as of 1 July 2024. While some details are still being finalized, you can now begin the application process to secure EU residency for yourself and your family for 10 years, with the option to renew for another 10 years.

Decide which investment option you prefer.
Ensure you have the necessary funds available for your chosen investment.

Investment options

Currently, the following investment option is available:

EUR 250,000: Purchase of bonds issued by a real estate fund registered by the Hungarian National Bank (MNB).

Other options will be available once the government provides further details. If you want to proceed quickly, the real estate fund investment is your best option.

Application process

The application process for the Hungarian Golden Visa Program involves three phases:

Apply for a guest investor visa at the consulate nearest to your permanent address.
Travel to Hungary and make your chosen investment.
Apply for guest investor residency for your entire family with proof of investment.
